		<abstract>O presente trabalho desenvolvido com objetivos didaticos, apresenta a metodologia de interpretacao de dados de sensoriamento remoto e aplicacoes em Oceanografia. Sao discutidos os elementos de interpretacao de imagem para os diferentes tipos de sensores: dados MSS/LANDSAT, IV (infravermelho termal)e VIS (visivel)de satelites meteorologicos da serie NOAA e geoestacionario. Enfase e dada a metodologia de interpretacao visual e automatica destes dados nos estudos de poluicao costeira, corrente do Brasil e ressurgencia. Abstracts This work with didactic goals, has the interpretation methodology of remote sensing data and applications in oceanography. The image interpretation elements for different types of sensors are discussed: data MSS / LANDSAT, IR (thermal infrared) and VIS (visible) of meteorological satellites NOAA and geostationary series. Emphasis is given the methodology of visual and automatic analysis of these data in studies of coastal pollution, Brazil and resurgence of this.</abstract>
